The Power of Rewriting our Story

Our Younger Selves May Not have Had a Choice But Our Adult Selves Do✍🏻

I love this idea—both therapeutically and as a coach—because I’ve experienced how transformative it is to have a corrective experience by revisiting past challenges with the support we needed to catalyze healing and growth.

In April 2024, I attended a six-day group intensive with Dr. Stacy Ellis called Liberation, centered on rewriting childhood experiences. I’ve done a great deal of inner work, especially with my younger parts—much of it somatic, so my body and nervous system can release old imprints.

Liberation was one of the deepest experiences I’ve had. It felt like my adult self brought my child self back in time to a camp-like setting where we engaged in profound individual and group work to integrate childhood trauma, support our nervous systems, and have fun.

Liberation was so impactful that I joined the team in April 2025. As I completed my Integral Coaching certification, I wanted to witness transformation from the perspective of a space holder as I move towards facilitating group work myself.

I’m grateful to step into the assistant role again in May 2026 for Stacy’s newest offering: Liberation: Adolescent Experience.

About Liberation: Adolescent Experience Retreat

👉🏻 What if you could revisit adolescence—not to relive it, but to rewrite it?

Adolescence is a time of profound transformation—a bridge between childhood and adulthood marked by surging hormones, identity exploration, and intense emotions. Shaped by difficult family dynamics, social struggles, cultural or religious expectations, and feelings of unworthiness. For many, adolescence still greatly influences our stories about our worth, our place in the world, and who we are allowed to become.

👉🏻 What if you could go back and experience adolescence with the support you deserved?

In this six-day embodiment workshop, we invite you to step into a space of curiosity and compassion, exploring the experiences that shaped you during adolescence. Instead of just managing surface-level struggles, this workshop helps you identify and release deeper patterns and imprints from your teenage years. Through somatic tools, creative exercises, and deep reflection, you’ll begin to reprogram the nervous system imprints and narratives formed in those formative years.

Through experiential practices and ceremonial elements, this workshop offers you a chance to integrate the wisdom of your adult self with your adolescent self, creating more wholeness.

This workshop is not about fixing yourself—it’s about coming home to yourself. By the end of these six days, you’ll walk away not only with tools and insights, but with a felt sense of clarity in your being—leaving you lighter, freer, and more connected to who you were always meant to be.
