ABOUT

BIG PICTURE

My coaching is shaped by a clear sense of purpose.

I’m a longtime senior leader who came to see that the challenges we face can’t be solved with the same mindsets and inner orientation that created them. Creating the systems of tomorrow requires a different kind of inner readiness—at the level of the individual and the collective.

My work focuses on deep transformation that restores agency and supports you in truly thriving by addressing root causes, not just symptoms. It sits at the intersection of personal development, contemplative practice, generative leadership, and awareness-based systems thinking—because sustainable change begins within people and ripples outward into the systems we shape.

MY BACKGROUND

Abut - Julie

My work is informed by extensive training and practice, including Integral Coaching® certification through New Ventures West, certification in coherence and self-regulation techniques through HeartMath®, trauma-informed and relational attunement training through Thomas Hübl’s Academy of Inner Science, and courses in awareness-based systems thinking, communications, emotional development and relational dynamics — all grounded in two decades of contemplative practice. These lineages root my work in depth, rigor, and embodied presence.

Prior to becoming a coach, I spent over 25 years leading teams and organizations through major growth initiatives—from strategic transactions and capital raises to large-scale transformation. Along the way, I learned that sustainable change isn’t just about strategy or resources—it’s about the inner readiness of the people and systems involved. Even the best plans falter when mindset, emotional capacity, and relational skills don’t match what’s needed.

Time and time again, I saw that our nervous systems, beliefs, and unexamined inner narratives profoundly shape how we lead, relate, create and evolve. This opened an inquiry for me that fuels my deep interest in healing, growth leadership and systems.

MY WHY

I became a coach because I have a deep desire to help people thrive. I know what it’s like to be in circumstances where that doesn’t feel possible—and how profoundly different life became when I found my way out of them and into something better. Through those experiences, I came to believe that the highest expression of leadership is the ability to create more leaders: to recognize, cultivate, and elevate the gifts of others in service of a shared purpose. To me, this is also one of the highest expressions of our humanity. My approach to coaching reflects these beliefs.

I’m guided by the understanding that the more we are in contact with our innate wholeness, the more clearly and powerfully we can lead. When we operate from inner integrity rather than from lack, our choices, actions, and presence shift. One of the teachings that has most shaped me comes from Thomas Hübl:

“Each time you become more aware of and receptive to a previously unconscious aspect of yourself, that fragmented piece of you is invited back into the fold, and you become more whole as a human being.”

This truth has changed the trajectory of my life.

On my own leadership path, I hit invisible internal ceilings—patterns I repeated despite my best intentions. They were shaped by early conditioning and life experiences that operated outside my awareness, quietly shaping the way I thought, acted, and related. Those patterns limited what felt possible and constrained my agency. I learned firsthand that talent and good intention aren’t enough to shift what lives beneath the surface.

As I did my inner work, those patterns loosened. I began to see how much of the difference between thriving and burning out depends on our ability to bring unconscious material into the light—and how deeply that process is connected to the state of the nervous system.

What began as frustration became curiosity, and eventually a profound commitment to inner work that transformed my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. That commitment now fuels how I support others through my coaching—which is rooted in my fundamental belief that everyone deserves to thrive.
